Russell E. Kennedy, age 93, of Florida and formerly of Clayton, passed away March 14, 2015 in the Brookside Hospice House in Palm Harbor Florida. Born April 20, 1921 in Lebanon, VA, he was the son of Gilbert Kennedy and Ethel (Kestner) Kennedy. He married Dora B. Fields on July 2, 1949 and she preceded him on November 7, 2002. Russell was a veteran of WWII and had worked at Allison’s Tranmission. Survivors includes children, Joyce Ann Malory, Eubank Kennedy, Helen Marie Kennedy, and Linda Quear, step children, Gene Fields, Kenneth Alexander, and Vincent Alexander; and step brothers Robert and James Alexander. His parents and wife preceded him.
