Frostburg, MD - Peggy Jean Beal, 80, of Frostburg, MD, formerly of Mount Savage, MD, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Frostburg Village Nursing Home.
Born February 9, 1935, in Cumberland, MD, Mrs. Beal was the daughter of the late Aden Joseph Lavin and Fannie (Chisholm) Lavin.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Betty O'Neal; Sonny Lavin; Juris Lavin; and Irvin Lavin.
A homemaker, Peggy enjoyed selling Avon Products. She was a collector of knick-knacks and glassware and was a member of the Mount Savage V.F.W. Post #6025 Old Rail Post Ladies Auxiliary, Mount Savage, MD.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 52 years: Donald L. Beal, Sr.; and her son: Donald L. Beal, Jr., and wife, Diana, Westminster, MD. She also leaves behind her brothers: Barry Lavin and wife, Josie, LaVale, MD: and Wilbert “Snooks” Lavin and wife, Audrey, Mount Savage, MD: her sister-in-law: Sandy Lavin, Mount Savage, MD: her grandchildren: Justin A. Beal and Travis L. Beal, both of Westminster, MD; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Monday, March 16, 2015, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, March 16, 2015, at 11:00 A.M., with Reverend Wayne Turner officiating.
Interment will be in Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
