Floella Cunagin was born November 19, 1927 in Laurel County and departed this life Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the St. Joseph Hospital East in Lexington, being 87 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Dewey & Della (Moore) Gabbard.
Floella is survived by a son, Van Cunagin and his wife Vivian of Georgetown and by a brother, Sam Gabbard and his wife Joyce of London. She was blessed with ten grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Floella was also preceded in death by her husband, Ancle E. Cunagin; by two children, Stacey Cunagin and Veda Wilson; by a grandson, Ancle Paul Wilson and by the following siblings, Virgie Kendill, Mae Ola Mullins, Henry, Brutus, Delano, Dallas, Glendon, & Millard Gabbard.
Floella was a member of the Letter Box Baptist Church.
Funeral service was held 1:00PM Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Garland Gabbard officiating. Burial followed in the Harris Cemetery. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
