Byron E. McDaniel, 87, of Lebanon, died on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
He was born on Thursday, August 25, 1927 to the late Leonard McDaniel and Ada McDaniel nee Barnes in Lakeland, FL. He was a member of New Beginnings Grace Brethren Church and retired as a security guard in Brooklyn, NY. He was a veteran of the Merchant Marines in World War II and later was drafted in the Army. Byron was a hard worker, helping to feed people from food that he grew on his farm and enjoyed jogging.
Surviving are wife Jean M. McDaniel nee Hadley, Lebanon; daughter Ruth Ann spouse of Pat Butler, Milton, FL; son Timothy E. spouse of Nancy McDaniel, New Milford, CT; daughters Lydia Magda, Gladwin, MI, Dorothy G. Monaco, New Milford, CT; grandchildren Jonathan, Salena, Paul, Sarah, Tabitha, Joshua; 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brother Leonard McDaniel; sister Dorothy Wilson.
Viewing will be on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with full military honors, following the service.
