The son of Thomas and Pollie Messick Bradshaw, Mr. Bradshaw was born and raised on Tylerton, Smith Island, Maryland. He was an oyster tonger by trade.

Andrew A. Bradshaw died on February 7, 1916 at the age of 51 years and was interred in the Union UME churchyard in Tylerton, MD.
