Mr. Ricky Gene Reed, 47, passed away November 4, 2012 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY following a long illness. He was born May 8, 1965 in Campton, KY, was a son of the late Calvin Reed and was a logger and loved the outdoors, working in his garden and flowers. He also attended the Church of God.

Ricky is survived by on son: Mr. Mason Reed of Booneville, KY, two daughters: Ms. Amanda Reed of Booneville, KY & Ms. Ashley Reed for Frankfort, KY. Three grandchildren: Emma Hulette, Braydon Lilly and Raymond James Plumer, his mother, Mrs. Phyllis Little Reed of Booneville, KY, one brother: Mr. Jeffery Reed, one sister: Ms. Hazel Reed both of Booneville, KY: a very special aunt, Mrs. Blanch Turner of Booneville, KY & also aunts, uncles & several nieces & nephews.

Funeral services form Mr. Reed were held Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 2:00 PM with visitation on Tuesday evening from 6 to 9 PM all at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home. Officiating the services was the Rev. Joe Powlas with the burial following in the Shepherd Memorial Cemetery in Booneville. The Searcy & Strong Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
