Joe Tommy Wilson, 76, of Colbert, died Friday, March 13, 2015. A native of Oglethorpe County, he was the son of the late Preston Wilson & Mattie Elizabeth Smith Wilson. He was also preceded in death by two brothers; Dan Wilson & Benny Wilson; sister: Frances Welch & grandson: Timothy Wilson. Tommy was a farmer for Kenny Rogers. Survivors include his wife, Clara B. Wilson; son: Mike Wilson of Colbert; daughter: Tammy Melissa (Joseph Eugene) Armistead of Comer; sister: Lauranell Rogers of Comer; grandchildren: Megan Wilson, Justin Wilson, Santana Armistead, Ashley Armistead & great granddaughter, Addison Coile. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 15, 2015 at 3PM at Lord & Stephens East with Rev. officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Welcome Avenue Holiness Church. Flowers will be accepted. Lord & Stephens East is in charge of arrangements.
