Jimmy Dale White, 65, of Paragould, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

He was born September 29, 1949 in Lafe, Arkansas, to the late Alvin and Bobie White.

Jimmy was a very strong Christian man, studied God’s word and enjoyed visiting with special friends in nursing homes. He attended Browns Chapel Baptist Church every time the doors were open, always believing that being in church was very important to a Christian’s life. After 40 years working at Emerson Electric, he felt very blessed to have enjoyed his retirement. He loved to hunt, raise his beagles and sit out in the woods listening to them howl as they chased the rabbit. He and one of his friends had much fun traveling around Arkansas and Missouri “tradin” dogs, as he called it. He loved basketball games and had special friends that he sat with at every game. He played baseball as a young man and attended many of those games as well as some football games. Jimmy was a very special, loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed devoting his time to helping with their care, going on vacations and eating out as a family.

Survivors include wife, Bonnie and two daughters, Julie (Henry) Laxton of Jonesboro and Stacey (Wilton) Garcia of Paragould and two grandc-hildren, Estella and Cruz Garcia and his mother-in-law, Imogene Hogland. Also survived by five sisters and three brothers, Murtie (Richard) Cobb of Ashdown, Arkansas, Effie (Tommy) Hagood of Paragould, Darlene (Jerry) Hilyard of Hillsboro, Missouri, Jerlene Seay of Malden, Missouri, Vernie (Bill) Wren of St. Louis, Missouri, Dewey (Teresa) White of Marmaduke, Don (Sandy) White of Mabelvale, Arkansas and Doyle (Dolores) White of House Springs, Missouri. Also survived by many special aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Linwood Cemetery.
