Son of the Rev. Roger Anson Ford and Kathleen Orme Morris.
"He joined the Royal Marines and in 1943 was serving as Captain with 40 Royal Marine Commando who were transported aboard HMS Queen Emma for Operation Husky - the invasion of Sicily. Whilst still aboard ship in Syracuse Harbour he was killed when shrapnel from an air attack exploded a box of grenades".
His Brother Sqdn. Ldr. Peter Rodger Anson Ford is interred in Saint Pierre Cemetery, Amiens, Departement de la Somme, Picardie, France (56043160)
