Our loving mother and grandmother, Carla Lee Foster, 81, passed away after a long bout with Alzheimer''s Disease on Saturday, August 17, 2013. She was born to Normand and Vera Lee Hutchens on July 17, 1932 in Ogden. Carla was raised in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School.
On September 22, 1950 Carla married Paul Richard Foster in Ogden. Carla and Paul loved to travel. They enjoyed seven years on the road in a full time RV. Later they enjoyed several cruises. They were able to spend 62 wonderful years together until her passing.
Carla volunteered several thousand hours at St. Benedicts Hospital and enjoyed every moment of it. She also enjoyed sewing and was a wonderful seamstress.
Carla is survived by her husband, Paul; son, Wayne Foster; two daughters-in-law, Jennifer and Aggie; three grandchildren, Whitney, Christopher, and Joseph; and 4 great-grandchildren, Kiara, Liam, Keilee and Jamison.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Russell and brother Robert.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Hospice for Utah and the entire staff at Mtn. Ridge for their care of Mom; and a special thanks to her wonderful son Wayne for always being there for his Mom.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Cremation entrusted to Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary.
