Elder Willie B. Fisher died at age 98 on March 11, 2015. He was born February 23, 1917 in Lewisburg, TN to the late Will Fisher and Lucinda Smith Fisher. Elder Fisher attended the Marshall County School system. He entered into holy matrimony with Mary Laura Mayberry, who preceded him in death. He later into holy matrimony with Mary Elizabeth Cunningham, who also preceded him in death.

In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by four children, Rosie Lee Fisher, Willie Mae Fisher, Charles Edward Fisher and Claudette L. Fisher.

He was the Assistant Pastor at Shady Grove for two years and later became Pastor of Shady Grove Primitive Baptist Church for 46 years before retiring. Willie served over 30 years with the Cumberland Primitive Baptist Association. He retired from Rand McNally Printing Company as a supervisor in the shipping department.

Those left to carry on his legacy and mourn his passing are his son, Joe (Vivian) Fisher; sister-in-law, Fannie Bell Miller; grandchildren, Terry (Leona) Johnson, Valerie Fisher, Linda (Darryl) Bennett, Sandra Goodrich, Sherrie Rives, Laura Anthony, Angela Anthony, Dionne (Travis) Williams, Travis (LaFonda) Fisher, Daris Fisher, Tyeaste Wilson, Annette (Anthony) Dorsey, Tammy Cunningham, Jeffery Cunningham, James (Monicka) Cunningham; devoted friend, Deacon Alvin Fitzgerald,. Willie has a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Viewing Friday, March 20, 2015 from 1-7 pm at Smith Brothers Funeral Chapel. Visitation March 21, 2015 from 11:00am - 12:00pm, with funeral to follow at Cumberland Association of Primitive Baptist Churches, 232 Whitsett Avenue, Nashville, TN. Interment Harpeth Hills Memorial Garden.
