On April 2nd, 1938, the late Mariah D. Cody was given a beautiful baby girl whom she named Virginia Dennis. Virginia was an obidient and helpful child. In addition to her mother, Virginia was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Marion Knox, Sr. & her stepfather, Mr. W.C. Cody.

She attended and graduated from Social Circle Training School. She accepted Jesus as her personal savior & joined the Knox Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. From her membership to death, she served as a faithful doorkeeper for 40+ years.

A courtship with Amos Ansley began and blossomed into marriage on August 11th, 1960 which lasted for 18 years until they were separated by his untimely death. 3 daughters blessed their marriage even more but one, Cheryl D. Ansley, preceded her in death.

Recently her health began to fail but her faith didn't. She was affectionately know as "Granny", "Gingerbread", or "Grandma Ginny-Bread". She worked hard to provide for her family after the death of her husband. She was loved by all her family & friends, church family, & most of all, the entire community. She will definitely be missed.
