Mrs. Karen Christina Bugge passed away at Bethany home Wednesday after having been there for only a few weeks.

Karen Fraas was born in Norway April 16, 1884 (newspaper error-should be 1844) and was united in marriage to Jens Bugge in the early sixties. Shortly after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Bugge moved to this country and for a while lived in Wisconsin though they have been residents of this vicinity for over forty years. Mr. Bugge preceded his wife in death in December 1891.

The deceased is survived by five of their ten children: four sons, H. J. and Ulver Bugge at Makoti, N. Dak., S. M. Bugge in Bagley and Anton Bugge in Milwaukee, Wis., and one daughter: Mrs. L. L. Mayland of Great Falls, Mont. All the children except Mrs. Mayland were present for the funeral services, the four sons acting as pall bearers.

Services were conducted from Bethany Home, Rev. Mattson officiating and by Rev. Raun of Evansville from the Norwegian Lutheran church. Burial was in Kinkead cemetery.
