Russell S. Rose, 78, of Easton, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015, in Easton Hospital. Born December 8, 1936, in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was a son of the late Roy and Martha Roseberry Rose. Russell retired as a truck driver from MS Reilly where he worked for many years. Previously, he was a self-employed truck driver. He was a member of various area social clubs. Russell served with the US Marines. He enjoyed getting the whole family together for annual camping trips.

Surviving are three sons, Russell R. and Michael Rose, both of Easton, and Todd Rose, of North Carolina; five daughters, Melody L. Rosado and her husband Hector, of North Carolina, Kelly M. Dennis, of Bushkill Township, Sheila A. Rose, of Nazareth, Joy A. and Tammy L. Rose, both of Easton; two brothers, Hugh Rose, of Hellertown and Bruce Rose, of Phillipsburg, NJ; a sister, Debbie Szmodis, of Hellertown; twenty grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Chris Allen Rose, who died in 2002; two brothers, John "Marty" Rose and Roy "Sonny" Rose; and four sisters, Emma Agosta, Julia Orlowski, Cora Turner and Ruth Rosario.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-6pm in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 602 W. Berwick Street, Easton.
