Born in Buckingham, Illinois, October 5, 1908, a son of Richard and Elsie Dore Bowers. Married Bessie Lenore Harris, November 26, 1934 in Longview, Illinois. He worked in the Salt Lake area in construction as a truck driver, until moving to Mt. Pleasant in 1972. He loved to hunt, fish and travel. Avid bowler and horseshoe player, and had won several trophies in both sports.
Survived by wife, of Mt. Pleasant; three brothers, three sisters.
Graveside services, Monday, April 8, 1991 at 11 a.m., Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call Ursenbach Funeral Home Sunday evening from 6-7 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to services. Interment, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
