PATTI A. FERGUSON, 66 died March 12, 2015 in Clay Center, KS. She was born on August 14, 1948 in Richland, WA, the daughter of Elmer and Margie (Dean) Gragert.

Patti was raised in Grandview, MO and graduated from Grandview High School in 1966. She earned a degree in Elementary Education from Bethany College in 1971. Patti married Gene Ferguson on July 3, 1971, he survives of the home.

She worked as a substitute teacher in Moundridge before moving to Clay Center in 1975. Patti loved teaching and spent 32 years at Lincoln School where she mainly taught the 3rd grade. She retired in 2010 but continued to worked for USD 379 as a substitute teacher. Patti was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church, superintendent for the Sunday school program and served as Chairperson for the church's pre-school board. She was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and director for Meals on Wheels. In her free time, Patti enjoyed reading and attending her grandchildren's activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Daughter: Stacy and husband Jason Tatkenhorst, Basehor, KS

Son: Greg and wife Angela Ferguson, Goodland, KS

Brother: Mike and wife Andi Gragert, Wichita, KS

Brother: Steve and wife Helen Gragert, Stillwater, OK

Grandchildren: Kade, Kurtis and Kamden Tatkenhorst and Hannah and Brock Ferguson

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clay Center, KS

Officiating the service will be Pastor Paul Tessaro

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 2-5 PM at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home
