JoJo McBroom (Norton III), age 11, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015. He passed peacefully at home with his family around him. JoJo had been sick since 4 months of age, and fought every day. He was a joy to all that met him. He was truly an angel, and was (Nini) Jackie McBroom’s inspiration to never give up since they got him.
JoJo was born March 25, 2003, in Marion, Indiana. He was a very happy boy that was loved by many. He loved music, his brothers, hugs, kisses, and his family.
He is survived by his parents, Joe Emery Norton, II and Stacy (McBroom) Norton; his grandmother, "Nini" Jackie McBroom who has cared for him the last 7 years; two brothers, Raedon Lee/Tayler McBroom and Joedon Todd McBroom; uncles, Shannon McBroom, Shawn (Taylor Guffey) McBroom, Mike McBroom, Brian (Charity) McBroom, and Scott (Deveonna) McBroom; aunts, Patty McBroom(Paul), Kim Little (Jamie), Vicki McBroom-Dodson (Paul), Aloma McBroom and Angie McBroom; several cousins, and several special friends; also two of his special nurses Pat Ball (Ron) and Bob Michaels.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Gary Dalton officiating.
Burial will follow funeral services at Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana
