Mary Helen Campbell, age 89 years, of Richland Washington, formerly of Hot Springs and Russellville, died Sunday, March 8, 2015, in Richland. She was born October 8, 1925, in Russellville, to Peter LePaul and Lillian Elzeen Wilding Jennen. While living in Russellville she worked at Jennen Sign Company.
Her grandparents, Peter John and Hubertina Jennen, were immigrants from Belgium and came to America in 1881 with a group of Catholic colonists, and homesteaded in Minnesota. She continued her Catholic heritage with her membership at St. John's Catholic Church in Russellville. After moving to Hot Springs, she associated herself with the Catholic Church there for 15 years before moving to Richland in 2008.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James B. Campbell; two sons, Jimmy Don Jennen and Michael Allen Campbell; a sister, Mildred Pratt; and eight brothers, James, Walter, Marion, Martin, Peter, Harry, Joseph and John Alfred Jennen.
Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Brenda C. Duffy, and Judy and Jeffrey Workman, all of Russellville, JoAnn and David Cecil of Temecula, California, and Carolyn Ann and Marvin Duran Davis of Richland; 11 grandchildren, James Jr., Cheryl, Jennifer, Tina, Christy, Sherry, Jason, Crystal, Corey, Clay and Christina; 20 great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
The funeral mass will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at St. John's Catholic Church, officiated by the Rev. P. Chuma Ibebeukie. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Russellville, by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday evening, from 5-6 p.m., in the Shinn Chapel, with the Rosary to begin at 6 p.m.
