Roy H. Trostad, 79, died February 26, 1988 in a Fargo hospital. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today, March 2, in West Prairie Lutheran Church, rural Binford.
The son of Guy and Maria (Lundsten) Trostad, he was born October 29, 1908 in Pilot Mound Township. He grew up and attended school in the Binford community and was married to Nina Johnson in Binford September 22, 1940. They farmed in the Binford community until 1966, when he retired. They continued to live on the farm and Mr. Trostad worked as a carpenter for many years.
Besides his wife, he leaves four sons, David of Azusa, California; Steven with the Air Force in Germany; Russell of Fairbanks, Alaska; and Mark of St. Louis, Missouri; a daughter, Jeanne of Bismarck; three brothers, Osvald of McVille; Gerhard, Ridgeville, California; and Leonard of Cooperstown; three sisters, Myrtle Olson of Ada, Minn.; Lillian Paulson of Kloten, and Mrs. Bert (Ruth) Dibley, Kimball, Minn., and 14 grandchildren
