The Detroit News obituary of Cora (Rees) Pearson, dated April 20, 1937, states, "Mrs. Cora Rees Pearson, wife of Dr. Morton C. Pearson, formerly executive secretary of the Detroit Presbytery, died suddenly today in her home at 1432 Glynn Court. She was 62 years old. Born in Amboy, Indiana, December 12, 1874, she had lived in Detroit 18 years. Dr. Pearson, to whom she was married 44 years ago, served the Presbytery of Detroit, retiring last fall. Surviving Mrs. Pearson are her husband, three children, Mrs. Vincent M. Fulton, Cleveland; Dr. Lyman R.
