Nicholas John Devereux, Sr.

Nicholas John Devereux, Sr., 76, of Forrest City, Arkansas died February 17 at his residence. Funeral services were held Friday, February 19 at 2 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Chelch Reagan officiating. Masonic rites were held at Forrest Park Cemetery.

Mr. Devereux was a retired service manager for Baird Mobile Home. He was a member of the Baptist Church, also a member of the Masonic Lodge #683 in Indiana, the Scottish Rites of Fort Wayne, Indiana, the Shriner’s Mizpah Temple of Fort Wayne, and the Eastern Star in Forrest City.

He is survived by his wife. Mrs. Mildred Devereux of Forrest City; a son, Nicholas John Devereux, Jr. of Little Rock, Arkansas; one daughter, Mrs. Delorese Stevens of Maynard, Ark.; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Rathell, Lexington, Miss., Mrs. Ila Henderson, Greenwood, Miss., and Mrs. Esther Lou Leets of Clarksville, Tennessee; three brothers, Phillip Devereux of Memphis, Tennessee, Otto C. Morgan of Dallas, Texas and Tom Morgan of Wynne, Arkansas; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
