Joy Evelyn Turner was born in Dallas on March 9, 1933. She married Charles Turner and they raised three children, Brenda, Pam and Chuck. Charles was in the military-Air Force, so over the years, Joy and her family traveled throughout the world.

Joy loved life. Anyone that knew Joy knew that her eyes sparkled and kindness oozed from her when you were in her company. She loved fishing, she loved having fun, she loved cooking, she loved sewing, she loved people, and she loved the Lord. Oh, how she loved the Lord. She attended church, read her Bible regularly, and lived her life with grace and beauty. Joy loved her children, and bragged on them at every opportunity. She lived a good life. She lived a full life. On Friday, March 27, 2015, at 82 years old, she crossed over to be with her Lord, and with the family members that preceded her.

Joy is survived by a twin brother, Roy Bolton and wife Anna; sister, Kathleen Bryant and husband Vernon; three children, Brenda Antonsen, of Blue Ridge, Pam Lusk and her husband Roger, of Bullard, and Chuck Turner, of Blue Ridge; six grandchildren, Jill, Stephen, Amy, Sherie, Shannon and Charlie; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry and Eula Florence Jordan Bolton; husband, Charles H. Turner; granddaughter, Lynsey Hadley; and sister, Elsie Davison.
