Silas Arnold Adcock, 78, of Social Circle, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013. He was born in Walton County on April 26, 1935, to Annie Mae Adcock and George Alvin Adcock. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kenneth Adcock.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Adcock, of Social Circle; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Harold Peters, of Monroe; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Kay Adcock, of Monroe; aunt, Orlyne Conner, of Social Circle; grandchildren, Brittany and Sean Boyle, of Monroe, S.Sgt. Haley Westbrook, of Moody Air Force Base, Christian Adcock, of Social Circle, and Katlyn Land, of Social Circle; and great-granddaughter, Olivia Boyle, of Monroe.

Funeral services were Saturday, July 13, at Union Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Fish officiating. Burial followed at Union Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
