Hazel Louise Townsend of Willow Wood, OH died Monday, March 9, 2015 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. She was born December 10 in Ironton, OH, a daughter of the late Frank Kerns and Goldie Aldridge Kerns.
She was also preceded in death by
her husband, John William Townsend, Sr.;
a son, Military Spec 4 Michael Townsend;
three sisters, Minnie Mae Arden, Mary Frances "Pete" Besco and Mildred Vernon Mannon;
two brothers, Dorman "Bud" Kerns and Frank "Punk" Kerns.
Survivors include
her children, Goldie Fay Stapleton, John William (Lynn) Townsend, Jr., Jimmy (Patty) Townsend, Paul Ray (Angie) Townsend, Doris Jean (Mark) Sparks, Charlie Townsend, Judy (Johnny Spears) Sharp and Betty Jo (Michael) Russell;
two sisters, Sharon Mays and Gertrude "Bean" Carmon; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
