Mona L. Jackson, 99, Deland, Florida, a former Inverness resident, died March 9, 2015, in the West Volusia Hospice Care Unit in Orange City, Florida.
Mrs .Jackson was born Jan. 12, 1916, in Grantsville, Utah, to the late John and Ellen (Harrison) Bell and came here in 1972 from Altamonte Springs, Florida. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lecanto. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Barney Jackson on July 24, 2004.
Survivors include two children, Michael Barney Jackson, Deland, Florida, and Carol Ann Faison, New Orleans, Louisiana; one sister, Mary Wrede, Hillsborough, California; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, March 13 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lecanto. Bishop Jerry Campbell will officiate. Burial will follow in Florida National Cemetery.
