Nellie was born to Charlie and Harriet (Woods) Wood. She married Kenneth LaVerne Jordan on March 26, 1938 in Iowa.

Together they made their home in Sparta, Where she worked at the child center.
Nellie was a spirited woman with a whole lot of love to give to her family and friends. She was very active in the community, volunteering for many different organizations and holding offices in most of them including, the Eagles Club, ARP, Butterfest and the VFW just to name a few. She was known for being a straight shooter when she talked to people: not in a negative way,but in a way that you always knew what she was talking about. She would have turned 95, five days after her passing: but, she was prepared for her departure from this world and looking forward to her next adventure.

Nellie is survived by her son; Donald (Reba)Jordan of Greenville KY; a sister Evelyn (Wood)Linenberg of Tomah, several grandchildren; great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Nellie was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, parents, two daughters Donnis Donais, and Ruth Ann Wilson-her husband Charles "Chuck" Wilson and a son Gerald Jordan, along with sisters and brothers, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
