Services for Harry O Williams, 86, of The Woodlands, Texas, will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11:00am at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Dr. Brent Shook, Wayne C. Schilleci, Sr. and Zachary A. Schilleci officiating.

A private burial will be held at Flint Cemetery in Flint, Texas under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.

Mr. Williams passed away Monday, July 24, 2017 in Spring, Texas. He was born September 22, 1930 in Jacksonville, Texas to Dewey and Loi Williams of Flint, Texas.

Harry was a member of First Baptist Church of The Woodlands. He graduated from Tyler High School in Tyler, Texas and attended Tyler Jr. College.

Harry was a Golden Gloves Boxer, owner of The Plum, the “Go to” Teen Center in Tyler in the late 60’s and Color commentator for the Tyler Junior College Apaches with Virgil Stone when they won the Junior College Basketball Nat’l Championship. He was a music publisher, and a weekend Country DJ in Tyler.

Harry retired from Allstate Insurance and later owned and operated the Oreck Store in Tyler. He was the life of his Sunday School class. His warmth and smile comforted most everyone he ever met!

Harry was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 64 years, Juanita Marie Whitaker Williams; his brothers, Bill and Charles Williams; and grandson, Christian Schilleci.

He is survived by his loving family including his son, Dan and wife Stephanie Williams of Franklin, Tennessee, daughter Debbie and husband Wayne Schilleci Sr. of The Woodlands, Texas, grandchildren Wayne Schilleci Jr. and wife Wendy of Spring, Texas, Jennifer And husband Retired Master Sergeant Lance Dammeyer of Franklin, Tennessee, Dan II and wife Deanna Williams of Summertown, Tennessee, Audrey and husband Dr. Brent Shook of The Woodlands, Texas, Kindle and Lieutenant Colonel Devrim Brown of Clarksville, Tennessee, Zachary Schilleci and his fiancée Hannah Waid of The Woodlands, Texas, and Cole Beck Williams of Franklin, Tennessee and 16 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Patricia (Trish) and her husband Tommy Graham of Noonday, Texas and his dear friend, Iris Yohn of The Woodlands, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Dan Williams II, Zachary Schilleci, Cole Beck Williams, Wayne Schilleci Jr, Dr. Brent Shook, Lance Dammeyer, and Devrim Brown.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Williams and Tommy Graham.

Visitation is scheduled at 10:00 am on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.

In lieu of flowers, Harry requests donations be made to the Flint Cemetery, P O Box 109, Flint, TX 75762.
