After a courageous battle with cancer, Bert William Lewis went to be with our Lord March 10, 2015. Bert was born on December 5, 1940 at home to Nova and Bluford Lewis.

He graduated Mannford High School in 1958 and served in the Army. For over 30 years, Bert was employed by GTE while raising hundreds of head of cattle. Bert was an active member of the community. He was Mayor of Barnsdall, served on the School Board, and was Council Member. In 1972, Bert acquired land in Barnsdall and developed the Lewis Addition.
