He attended local schools and graduated from Lodi High School in 1944, entering the military service the same year. He was disabled during his tour of duty in World War II. He last worked at the Travelers Garage as a mechanic.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Dause of Lodi; three brothers, Ernest Dause of Tracy, Fred Dause of Stockton and George Dause of Lodi; and one sister, Mrs. Goldie Reiswig of Lodi.
Interment in Cherokee Memorial Park.
