Mr. Bodnar was born Aug. 15, 1956, in Youngstown, a son of the late William G. and Patricia Rose Dunn Bodnar, and was a lifelong area resident.
Bill was a 1975 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, and attended the Mahoning County Joint Vocational School.
He operated the family business, Bill’s Furniture & Appliances in Cornersburg, and worked for The Network Connectors. Mr. Bodnar also owned Vision Satellite, and was a tattoo artist.
He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Austintown, and more recently attended Crossroads Church.
Bill coached his sons Little League teams, and he was an umpire and wrestling coach.
Mr. Bodnar leaves four children, Warrant Officer Sean Bodnar with the U.S. Army in Afghanistan, Lyndsay Bodnar of Boardman, Anthony Bodnar of Austintown, and Nicholas (Erika) Bodnar of Cortland; four grandchildren, Makayla, Dennis Michael, Sean, and Brooklyn; and two sisters, Debbie Palkovic of Boardman and Loraine Bodnar of Austintown.
His wife of 26 years, Lynette Angelo Bodnar, whom he married Aug. 16, 1980, passed away Dec. 21, 2006. An infant brother, Donald Bodnar, is also deceased.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
