Benny Sanders, 79, of Ardmore, Alabama, died Tuesday, September 14, 2004, at Huntsville Hospital ER. Funeral Services were held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, September 16, 2004, at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Shivers and Bro. Phillip Eubanks officiating. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Jason Sanders, Jeremy Sanders, Jeff Garrison, Rex Garrison, Ronnie Ball, And Thelton Bradley. Brett Hurst was an honorary pallbearer. Mr. Sanders was born on July 15, 1925, in Madison County, to Erastus Benjamin Sanders and Marie King Sanders. Mr. Sanders had been the Chairman of the Shady Grove Cemetery Committee for thirty-two years. He was a faithful member of the Ardmore United Methodist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Billie Rose Sanders of Ardmore, Alabama; two sons, Jackie (Connie) Sanders of Ardmore, Alabama, and Anthony (Terri) Sanders of Ardmore, Tennessee; three daughters, Linda McMunn of Toney, Alabama, Sharon (Sonny) Johnson of Ardmore, Alabama, and Marie (Bob) Hurst of Flintville, Tennessee; two sisters, Virginia Garrison and Carolyn Ledford, both of Huntsville, Alabama; 13 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
