Needham Hess Holland was born in Moultrie Georgia. He was the son of Allison Gray Holland and Sophronia Kelly. Needham was a lifelong farmer in Colquitt county Georgia.

Needham married Eliza Jane Ethridge. They had the following children: Eunice Mae Holley, Ruthie Jane Davis, Jesse Shelvey Holland, Troy Allison Holland and Sarah Julie Holland. Eliza

Eliza Jane died during childbirth. Needham was responsible for several pre school children. Eliza Jane is buried in this cemetery however her grave has been lost. It is assumed that she is buried near Needham.

Needham married a second wife Fannie Lou Fussell. Fannie became a step mother to Needhams children. His children loved her dearly. Fannie and Needham had several children of their own.
