Mrs. Brand is Called Home

Services for Mrs. Willie Brand, 55, 8 Gum St. will be held Saturday at 2 pm., in the Mutual Service Chapel. L. Berry Leftwich will officiate. Mrs. Brand will be interred in the Chestnut Grove cemetery, Mutual Service directing.

The body will be at her home until 1:45 p.m. Saturday, when it will be taken to the chapel for the services.

Her death followed an illness of about a year at her home Thursday afternoon. She was a member of the Christian Science Church.

Surviving Mrs. Brand are four daughters, Mrs. C. B. South, Ensley; Mrs. E. H. Adams, of Louisiana and mesdames L. C. Nichols and Viola Richardson of Decatur.

She is also survived by a brother, Elbert Hennessee, who is stationed with the army in Germany.

Other survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Grady Black, Mrs. Dave Whisenant, both of Union Hill, Mrs. W. J. O'Kelly, of Tennessee and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be: James and C.B. Fairbanks, Wesley and Chesley Turner, Adley Johnson and Ralph Camel.
