James A. Stinnett passed away Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015. He was 80.

Jim was born in Camden, N.J. and graduated from Palmyra High School in 1953. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a former Sergeant in the Palmyra Police Department, a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, and a member of the Palmyra Borough Council.

He was a former member of the PRC Rotary, a member of the Covenant Lodge #161 Masonic Lodge, and a life member of the Deborah Heart and Lung Center.

He proudly owned and operated Stinnett's Electronics and founded Riverfront Cablevision.

Jim was a former president of the Delaware Valley Unit of the Airstream Club, in which he traveled throughout the United States with his wife for over 20 years.

A resident of Palmyra, N.J. for 52 years, he enjoyed listening to country and bluegrass music and spending time with his family and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James F. and Margaret Stinnett; his sister, Emma Marie Pearson; and his brother, John Stinnett.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 60 years, Elaine (Jones); his daughters, Diane Dreby (Richard), Terri Misiewicz (Kenneth) and Lori Stinnett; granddaughters, Heather Dunlap (Brian), Dana Collins, Hailey McCord, Alyssa McCord and Jenna Misiewicz; and great-grandsons, Cantlin, Shane, and Brody Dunlap, Nathan and Logan Collins, and Caleb Misiewicz. He is also survived by his brother, Donald Stinnett (Arlene); his sisters, Eileen Tuch (Joe) and Betty Jane Budden (Glenn); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 9 to 11 a.m., Thursday, March 5, and to attend his funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Weber Funeral Home in Riverton, N.J. A burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, please make remembrances in Jim's name to Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, N.J. or to the Palmyra Fire Department in Palmyra, N.J.
