Flight Sergeant Lucas lost his life when 153 RAF Squadron’s Bristol Beaufighter (#T3194) aircraft crashed into the Irish Sea west of the Isle of Man. RAF Flight Sergeant Cecil Thomas DEANE also perished in this crash.
