Grace Ogle Wright, age 95
The late H.C. (Coy) and Laurinda Proffitt Ogle.
The late Paulus Wright.
She was born in Big Dudley in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
She was a member of Glades Lebanon Baptist Church where she and her husband Paul were active members, both loved serving the Lord in various ministries, one of their favorites was working in the Church Thrift store.
She also had a great love for the mountains, her favorite hike was to Mt LeConte, where she worked in the early 1940's.
During WWII, she moved to Oak Ridge and became part of the "Secret City" work force to help with the war effort.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Stella Grace (Tootsie) Wright; two brothers, Lloyd and Olov Ogle; and four sisters, Lora O. Clabo, Veatress O. Cantrell, Iva O. Wright and Alice O. Fleming.
One daughter, Sharon (Ted) Sprague, one son, Paul (Carolyn) Wright, Jr., three grandchildren: Jamey (Angel) Maples, Jeremy Wright, Andrew Wright, five great-grandchildren: Eli and Nate Maples, Aiden and Isabella Wright and Elah Grace Wright, one sister: Ruth Reece and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 12, 2015 in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Whitted officiating.
