Lyle, 77, passed away April 25, 1992 in a Provo hospital. Born November 23, 1914 in Clements, Kansas, a son of Ralph A. and Sarah Inez Klotz.
Married Margaret Mary Beal, Emporia, Kansas in 1934. She died. Lyle married Helen Larsen, May 28, 1952 in Salt Lake City; she died July 29, 1990. He then married Leah B. Funk, September 27, 1991 in Mt. Pleasant.
Served in U.S. Navy April 1944 to February, 1946. He was a very active member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Served as Department of Utah Service Officer. Past Post Commander of Post 409 in Salt Lake and 9276 in Mt. Pleasant, he was All-State Post Commander 1989-1990.
Served Mt. Pleasant City as councilman for four years. Active in Scouting. Volunteered for community service at Veterans Hospital. Owned and operated small engine repair and sharpening service in Mt. Pleasant.
He enjoyed fishing, traveling, motorcycling. Active in the Democratic Party.
Survived by wife, Leah Klotz; son, Ronald Klotz; daughters, Arthea Koplin and Sherry Wilson; stepchildren, Barbara Grandchamp, Pat Klotz, Joseph Bauer, Ed Bauer, Sam Bauer, Joyce Stevenson, Debra Wright, Judy White and Kay Bauer; 38 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph A. Klotz, sisters; Ozetta Lind, Lois Powell and Beulah Wills.
