Anna Mae Virgina Rigdon, 93, went to heaven Thursday, March 5, 2015, to be with her husband, Allen Augustus, who preceded her in death May 15, 1963, which occurred a day before their 21st wedding anniversary.

She was born July 12, 1921, to Frank J. and Virginia Beck (Carron) in Crystal City, Missouri.
Anna is survived by four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Vera Chappue (Arthur, deceased), Patsy Raymer (Paul, deceased), Frankie Freese (Robert), and Sue Peterein (Kenneth). She had many nieces and nephews who were very precious to her.

Mom raised 12 children and was preceded in death by a stillborn son. She was blessed with 30 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren: (1) Michael Rigdon (Imogene Stewart), daughter Mary Rigdon (Thony Gillies); (2) Thomas Rigdon (Sheila), five children, Shimon, Victory, Breindel, Irena and Harmony Rigdon of Alvarado, Texas; (3) Denis Rigdon (Jan Fuist), daughters Becky Marshall (Craig); Darcy Uzuaro (Joseph), children Jadie and Zachary Uzuaro; (4) Barbara Blattel (Tom), daughter Gail Manley (Matt), children Lauren and Luke Ressel, McKenna and Katie Manley; son Allen Blattel; (5) Doug Rigdon (Diane Miesner), five children Eric Rigdon (Diane), sons Nathan and Caleb Rigdon; Micah Rigdon (Tiffany), sons Silas, Phinehas, and Samuel Rigdon; Abigail, Daniel, and Benjamin Rigdon; (6) Andrea Seabaugh (Mike), three children Nicholas Seabaugh (Brittany), Alicia Pavelka (Adam), Brianna Seabaugh; (7) Jerry Rigdon (Janet Vangilder), three children Erin Rigdon, sons Naythan Rigdon and Brayden Klingeman; Jeff Rigdon (Nikki), children Morgan Hessenkemper, Madison, Megan,Taylor Golden; Anna Quinn Rigdon (Joey Pruitt), children Allysa and Eli Pruitt; (8) Regina Rigdon (Harold Hyden), daughter Natalie Herron; (9) Kim Rigdon (Karen Beussink), son Adam Rigdon (Amber), son Aden Rigdon; daughter Chelsey Rigdon; (10) Mark Rigdon (Marsha), son Damian Rigdon; daughter Emily Compton; (11) Cynthia Rigdon (Jim), daughters Angela Birk (Derek), children Cole and Brooklynn; Kyla Biester (Josh), daughters Kaydan and Paisley Biester; (12) Vincent Rigdon (Cindy Kluesner), son Courtney Rigdon (Raelen), sons Drew and Alex Rigdon; daughter Jessica Espinoza (Alex), daughters Acelyn and Zoey Espinoza.

Anna was a lifetime member of Southeast Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered 13,826 hours knitting baby hats for the nursery and NICU and blankets for the SHARE Bereavement Program. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and St. Anne's Sodality. She was an avid bingo and pinochle player. She loved to fish and embellish stories. She loved babies and babies and babiesÂ….

She was devoted to her family first and foremost. "Nanny, we put our fingers on our noses and rejoice, sing and say hug because nothing makes us happier than knowing you and your husband are together at last!"

A private service will be held at the burial site at a later date.
