MRS JONES H C ALL
Allendale, Jan 18 - Mrs Theodosia Gertrude All, wife of Jones H C All, was interred in Swallow Savannah cemetery in the family plot after a beautiful service in the home Sunday morning.
Mrs All died on January 14 after an extended period of ill health. She was one of the outstanding citizens of this section and was beloved by countless friends as the tremendous crowd at her funeral testified. The casket, heavily laden with flowers, was borne to her last resting place by her grandsons.
Services were simple and in keeping with the wishes of Mrs All. the Rev J L Shuler, assisted by local ministers, conducted the services at the home and at the grave.
The news of the death of Mrs All came as a shock to her children and countless friends throughout South Carolina. Theodosia Gretrude (Bowers) All was born on July 15, 1859, in the Buford Bridge section of Barnwell county. She was the youngest daughter of Sarah Loadholt and Giles Calvin Bowers of prominent Welch ancestry.
Mrs All is survived by her husband and a half sister, Mrs Perry Moody, of Allendale. She is survived by nine children: The Rev J E All, Covington, Ky; Percy H All Sr, Gainsville, Fla; Mrs Horace C Marsh, Jacksonville, Fla; Mrs Marsh M Hogan, Miami, Fla; Fred H All, Allendale; Mrs Gladys A Prillaman, Allendale; and Mrs Charles L Abernathy Jr, of New Bern, NC. There are 21 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
