McALLISTER - Paul J., 84, 700 N. Center St., Ebensburg, died Jan. 26, 2006, in Ebensburg. Born June 6, 1921, in Nettleton, son of Henry and Winefred (Cretchley) McAllister.

Preceded in death by parents; first wife, the former Eleanor Readman; brothers, Russell, Reynold and Joe; and sisters, Margaret and Mary Agnes.

Survived by wife, the former Pauline O'Hara-McAllister, Ebensburg; children, Donna, wife of Glenn Kozian, Revloc; and Jack, married to the former Karen Nihart, Gallitzin; stepchildren, Patricia, wife of George Smith, Ebensburg; Timothy O'Hara, married to the former Susan Lauffer, New Jersey; Mary Lou, wife of Daniel Perich, Beaverdale; Daniel O'Hara, married to the former Debbie Glass, Ebensburg; Judith, wife of Joel Kosmac, Beaverdale; and Christine, wife of Christopher Dumm, Ebensburg; 22 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Brother of Roy, Hollidaysburg.

Retired from Schettigs Hardware, Ebensburg, with 45 years of service. Army veteran of World War II. Life member of VFW Post 4963 and American Legion Post 363, both of Ebensburg. Former member of Camp Nick. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake service will be held Monday evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus. Committal, Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg.
