Cleon Erastus Anderson , 68, 1851 Harrison Ave ( 1355 South) prominent Sanpete county Pharmacist and ex- Mayor of Moroni, died Saturday at 7:15 A.M. at his home after along illness. He was born in Ephraim , March 16, 1891. A son of Daniel W and Christine Nielson Anderson. He was Mr. He graduated from Snow College and went from there to North Western University School of Pharmacy.
Mr. Anderson was active in politics and served as mayor of Moroni in 1931-1932. He also served in Sanpete County as President of the county welfare board from the time of its organization until 1917 when he retired and moved the Salt Lake City.
He Operated D.W Anderson Drug store in Ephraim and Moroni and was director in the Bank of Ephraim from1933-1958.
He married Grace Peterson on June 24th 1913 in Provo. Mr. Anderson was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and in Salt Lake City was member of the Colonial Hills first ward.
Survivors include: His widow, one son John K. Anderson, Salt Lake City; one grandchild; three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 2 P.M. at 260 E South Temple. Burial will be at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
