JOHNSON CREEK- Carol J. Wishowski, 81, of Johnson Creek, passed away Wednesday evening, July 23, 2014, at the Watertown Regional Medical Center.
Carol Jean Braunschweig was born in Watertown on May 3, 1933, daughter of Wilbert and Nancy (McLaughlin) Braunschweig.
She was a 1951 graduate of Johnson Creek High School.
On June 12, 1954, she married Loren "Babe" W. Wishowski at the Methodist church in Johnson Creek.
She had been employed by the Rock River Telephone Company, which became TDS. Carol was a member of the United Methodist Church in Johnson Creek.
She was an avid Packers, Brewers and Johnson Creek Blue Jays fan. Most of all, she loved being at her children's and grandchildren's sporting events. Carol enjoyed baking and cooking, and playing games and pulling pranks.
Carol is survived by her husband, Babe; two children, Don (Dori) Wishowski of Elgin, Ill., and Debi (Jim) Lemminger of Johnson Creek; grandchildren, Katie (Tim) Wishowski-Wetzel, Brock (Katie) Wishowski, Kayla (Mike) Wendt, Leslie (Mark) Williams, Kiara (Justin) Erdmann and Kassidy Lemminger; great-grandchildren, Jack, Austin, Charli, Avery and Whitney; brother, Jim (Cyndi) Braunschweig; sister-in-law, Sandy Braunschweig; brother and sister-in-law, Duke (Judy) Wishowski; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Chuck Braunschweig; brothers-in-law, Gerald "Swish" Wishowski and Donald Wishowski.
Funeral services for Carol will be held on Sunday, July 27, at 3 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church in Watertown, with the Rev. Ron Kral officiating.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the services.
Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Johnson Creek.
Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Watertown is serving the family.
