Floyd LaVerne Wescott, 634 N. Warren Ave., died this morning in Freeport Memorial Hospital. He was born March 17, 1903, in Argyle, Wis., son of Odell and Ida (Harrison) Wescott. On Oct. 28 1928 he married Saima Saario in Chicago.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Glen (Dorothy) Shenberger of Ridott. Mrs. LeRoy (Shirley) Schmelzer of rural Freeport. Mrs. Joseph (Geraldine) Garrow of Freeport, Mrs. Gene (Carol) Hardman of Benton, Wis. and Mrs. Harry (Delores) Thomas of Loves Park; a son, Floyd Jr. of Latana Heights, Fla. and 16 grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by a brother.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Walker Mortuary, with the Rev. Ronald Yohe, pastor of Westview United Brethren Church, officiating. Burial will be in Grand View Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 2 p.m. Sunday. March 13 1971 - Obituary in newspaper.
