Dana Jenkins, 69, a resident of Sikeston, died Friday, March 6, 2015, at her home following an extended illness.
Born Aug. 6, 1945, in Poplar Bluff, to Marvin and Kathleen Jensen of Sikeston, she owned and operated Sikeston General Oil Company with her late husband, Robert M. Jenkins Sr.
Earlier in her life, she had been active in the Jr. Women's Club, was an avid bowler and a proud member of the Sikeston High School Class of 1963.
Later in life, Dana attended community college, was a lover of flowers and gardening and an active business woman known for her tireless and energetic approach to life.
Dana was raised in the First Baptist Church of Sikeston and later joined the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Jenkins Sr.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 11 at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. with Tim Russell officiating.
A private family burial of her cremains will follow the service at Memorial Park Cemetery.
