Antoinette "Toni" Lynn (nee Grainger) Phillips

Antoinette (Toni) Lynn Phillips (nee Grainger) age 49, of Indianapolis, IN formerly of Bellevue, KY passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Community North Hospital after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Her faith and the love and support of family and friends helped her to enjoy life long after her diagnosis. Toni is survived by her children, Jenna Lynn, Nicholas and Nathan of Indianapolis, IN, Jack Phillips, father of her children, mother Marilyn Halderman Grainger of Bellevue, sisters, Donna (Michael) Listermann of Somerset, KY, Diana (Steve) Halpin of Cincinnati; brothers, Michael (Judy) Grainger of Ft. Thomas, Tom (Kelley) Grainger of Woodlawn,KY, and Barry (Lynn) Grainger of Bellevue and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, cousins, and caring friends Sharon Krauter, Liesl McWilliams, and Angie Mannon. She was preceded in death by her father Bill Grainger and nephew Jay Grainger. Toni was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy and Northern Kentucky University where she received her Master's in Elementary Education. Toni went on to teach at St. Catherine of Siena before moving out of state and raising her family. Toni never went anywhere without her smile. She had a kind word for all and gave of her love and her time for anyone. Toni passed one day before her fiftieth birthday. Because she so loved to celebrate birthdays, family and friends raised a glass to her at a celebration dinner at her favorite restaurant as she celebrated with Jesus. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Divine Mercy Parish/Sacred Heart Church, 318 Division Street, Bellevue, KY with family receiving friends from 10:00 am until time of Mass. Burial will follow at St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas. Memorials are requested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
