DALHART - Jessica D. Funk, 19, died Friday, May 19, 2006, in Clayton, N.M.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Peoples Church with Ryan Smallwood and Kurtis Abla officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Horizon Funeral Home.

Jessica Dawn Funk was born Feb. 14, 1987, in Amarillo. She was attending Texline High School. Jessica was involved in all activities at the Texline school and was looking forward to finishing high school and attending college. She wanted to live in Oklahoma or Colorado and work with children. Jessica loved people (from infants to elderly). She enjoyed quiet times, music, walking her puppy, talking on the telephone, being with her friends and laughing, and she enjoyed being with her family.

She was preceded in death by an uncle/brother, Jeff Funk; her grandparents, Buster and Jimmie Smallwood; an aunt, Sharon Smallwood; two uncles, Rusty and James Smallwood; and three cousins, Vicky, Darren and Kim.

Survivors include her mother/nanny, Patsy L. Funk of Dalhart; her biological mother/sister, Jonna D. Funk of Dumas; a brother, Craig J. Funk of Dalhart; her uncle and aunt, Bobby and Normie Smallwood of Dalhart; and four cousins and their families, Ryan Smallwood, Shay Smallwood, Benny Smallwood and Penny Peoples.
