Donnie Wayne Jackson, age 63, and Sharon Faye Jackson, age 62, of Lily, died Sunday, March 8, 2015 at their home. Donnie was a son of the late Estle Jackson and Alabama Smith Jackson, born to them on March 9, 1952 at Woolum in Knox County. Sharon was the daughter of the late James Warren, Sr. and Ethel Vaughn Warren, born to them on August 1, 1953 at Detroit, Michigan.
They both worked in the Manufacturing Industry; and were members of the AMVETS #116 of Corbin.
In the year of 1971, Donnie and Sharon united in marriage, and to this union three children: Lisa, Donna and Nicholas were born.
Donnie was preceded in death by his parents: Estle Jackson and Alabama Smith Jackson; his sister: Wilma Jackson Mills; and by his three brothers: Estle Jackson, Jr., Tip Jackson and Ellis Jackson.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents: James Warren, Sr. and Ethel Vaughn Warren; and by her sister: Virginia Dalling.
Donnie and Sharon are survived by their loving family: Their Children: Lisa Holdread and husband, Daniel of Elkhart, Indiana; Donna Garber of Elkhart, Indiana; and Nicholas Jackson and wife, Jennifer of Indianapolis, Indiana. Their five grandchildren. Donnie's sisters and brother: Vernie Hensley of Lily; Jankie Jackson and wife, Fran of Georgetown, Kentucky; Barbara Haynes and husband, John of Shelbyville, Kentucky; and Erma Dunaway and husband, Don of London. Sharon's brother and sister: James Warren of Gerogetown, Kentucky; and Dora Jane Riley of Corbin; and several nieces and nephews, and other relatives and dear friends to mourn their passing.
Funeral Services for Donnie Wayne and Sharon Faye will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 13, 2015 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in the Gambrel Cemetery at Fount.
The Jackson family will receive friends at the Hopper Funeral Home after 6:00 P.M. on Thursday.
