She went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 in her home under the loving and watchful care of her mother
Marilyn and her husband and son Lawrence & Isaiah Baker.
She was preceded in death by her beloved brothers Frederick "Beetle" and Darryl Hill, grandparents, mother-in-law Alma Wood and uncle Richard "Richie" Roberts.
Vickie was a veteran of the U.S. Army. She enlisted in the Army in 1985 serving as an Administrative Specialist receiving and honorable discharge in 1995 after completing a successful tour of duty in both active and reserve status. Vickie graduated from Fairview High School in 1975.
She is survived by her husband Lawrence Baker; son Isaiah Hill Baker; stepdaughter Deseree Baker; 2 grandchildren and beloved dog Dippsy; parents Fred and Marilyn Hill; sister Sandra (Mike) Norman; brother Raymond (Pam) Hill, Cincinnati, OH; 5 brothers-in-law Charles Cooly, Dayton, Cedric Mitchell, New York, Claude Mitchell, Biloxi, MS, Larry Mitchell, Las Vegas, Lovell Mitchell of PA; 2 sisters-in-law, Alma Clay, Seattle, WA, Linda Blackman, Hattiesburg, MS, cousin/best friend Joanne Rutledge; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to mention.
Homegoing services 12:00 noon, Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 34726 W. Third St. Pastor Therman C. Sampson II officiating. The family will receive friends 11 A.M. - 12 Noon. Interment Dayton National Cemetery. HHRoberts.com
