Juanita Taylor Hughes, 84, wife of Joe Leon Hughes, of 11074 Highway 252 died Monday, March 09, 2015.

Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Charles Winfred Taylor and Pearl McCurry Corn. She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and was retired from the Park Davis Company.

Surviving are her husband of the home, a son, Joel Hughes of Ware Shoals; two daughters, Sherree Wills and husband Michael of Greenwood and Toni Arsenault and husband Leo of Ware Shoals; a brother, Charles Winford Taylor of Merritt Island, Fl.; two sisters, Betty Saul of Bishopville and Shelby Jenkins of Ware Shoals; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was pre-deceased by a daughter, Susan Hughes, and a sister, Opal Elgin.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Bruce Ostrom, Rev. Todd Horton, and Rev. Frank Northcutt officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home and will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. on Wednesday at the church prior to the service..
