Darlean Marie Davis, 70, of Hankamer, Texas, passed away on March 7, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born in Baytown, Texas on July 6, 1944 to Samuel Preston Bishop and Pearl Alean Bishop. Darlean loved painting, ceramics, watching movies. She was an excellent sergeant and her grandkids were her pride and joy.
Darlean is preceded in death by her mother and father, Samuel and Pearl Bishop; her grandmother, Ora Hayes; and brother, Little Buck Bishop. She is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Davis; son, Troy Lynn and wife, Avita Hall; sisters, Betty Jo Overturf, LaVonne Bell, Jimmy Lee and husband, Henry Svoboda. Darlean is also survived by her three grandchildren, Kenneth Hall, Matthew Hall and Alex Hall, as well as many nieces, nephews. Her aunt Dorothy was very dear to her heart, as well as one very special friend, Dennis Peting who has been by her side from beginning to end.
A gathering will be held for friends and family from 6pm-8pm on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Crespo and Jirrels Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at one o’ clock in the afternoon, with Reverend Mark Trice officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Baytown. Honoring the family as pallbearers will be, Dennis Peting, Kenneth Hall, Matthew Hall, Victor Davis, Kenny Overturf and Preston Bishop. Honorary pallbearers will be, Tammy Bell and Scott Anderson.
